Johann is recognized as an innovative and results-driven catalyst leader in technology operations, governance risk, and compliance. He has constantly delivered groundbreaking improvements for billion-dollar global pharmaceutical companies, media and entertainment corporations, manufacturing operations, and retail industry businesses. Johann is especially known for developing and leading IT strategy, IT modernization, ERP operations, cybersecurity governance, policy and procedure development, audits, and project management. Over his 30-year career, Johann has successfully progressed up the ranks in leading roles from Director to VP, CTO, & CIO. He has managed global team responsibilities and provided managed hosting and SaaS services using industry best practices.
Johann is passionate about providing value through his plans and actions. He has a proven track record of success in building high-performing teams with a focus on transparency, partnerships, financial responsibility, and strong communication. Johann is a tenacious negotiator with a track record of managing costs and budgets while developing strong vendor relationships.
Johann earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in computer systems and software engineering from Grand Valley State University. He holds certifications from the Scrum Alliance and ISACA and is a Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Agile Leader. Johann is active in the technology industry and currently serves on several academic and industry advisory boards and enjoys the outdoors, tailgating, and adventure travel.
