Jay Taranto serves as Chief Revenue Officer for TMA and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. With more than 40 years of experience in state and local government, assessment administration, auditing, valuation, and technology solutions, Jay has established himself as a trusted leader in helping government organizations improve operational efficiency and maximize revenue outcomes. He has been an integral part of TMA’s success for nearly a decade.
As CRO, Jay leads the company’s revenue growth strategy, overseeing sales, pricing, marketing, government affairs, and strategic partnerships. Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, he helps drive TMA’s vision and continued leadership in delivering revenue enhancement initiatives and innovative software solutions to state and local governments nationwide.
Before joining TMA, Jay held several senior leadership roles at Vision Government Solutions, Inc., including Executive Vice President, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Director of Property Assessment Valuation. He led teams responsible for developing and implementing the company’s Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) platform while overseeing real estate, personal property, and specialized valuation initiatives. His leadership played a key role in advancing the company’s growth, innovation, and market presence.
An active participant in the assessment and valuation profession, Jay is a member of several state assessment organizations and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). He currently serves on the IAAO Natural Disaster Preparation and Response Task Force, supporting industry efforts to improve resilience and response planning for assessing jurisdictions.
Jay earned his bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Westfield State University.
